Na koledu idem k vám is a Christmas and nowadays traditional programme in which beautiful and lesser-known Czech and Moravian carols, perhaps also carols from the far north-west, will be sung in arrangements for larger and unusual instrumentation, solo singing and choir. As every year, we will tell you a Christmas story during the concert. This year it will be by Zbyněk Malínský, and it's called - How the Carp First Saw the Sparklers. Lucie Domesová is the most popular storyteller in our ensemble, so she won't miss it this year either!
And to make the Christmas atmosphere complete, mulled wine will be prepared to refresh all those who come to the concert with good will and a good mind.
Programme
CZECH AND MORAVIAN CHRISTMAS CAROLS
The very small chamber orchestra of Varvara Divišová is a musical association with a changing number of members depending on the programme being performed. It is composed of musicians from Karlovy Vary, whether from the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, DAD Quintet or musicians from rock bands. During its time on the Carlsbad scene, it has created a programme with Celtic themes - Celtic Music, a programme composed of romances of Spanish Jews - Sephardic Songs, and an annual Christmas programme of Czech and Moravian carols. The orchestra was originally formed as a musical ensemble for the opening of the Karlovy Vary artist Varvara Divišová, with three members. Varvara Divišová - a Karlovy Vary artist - is the non-playing owner of the orchestra.
