Description and parameters
Space offer - Multifunctional hall in Atrium
The main social and cultural space of the entire building is the new multifunctional hall in the Atrium. The entrance to it is located in the basement of the spa and is connected to the cloakroom and the cafeteria, which serve mainly as a background for larger social events in the hall. The structure of the hall itself is self-supporting made of steel beams assembled into a solid spatial grid.
The built-in structure is based on a six-point micropile foundation and allows for different levels of stage and auditorium configuration. Within a short time, the hall can be adapted for a symphony orchestra concert, chamber music production, film performance, as well as for congresses, seminars and social events. This is made possible in particular by a specific elevation system, which can level the stage and a large part of the auditorium into one flat surface.
During normal visitor hours, a video mapping will be projected on the atrium walls to show the original operation of the building as well as the natural elements associated with the spa and healing treatments. In addition, there is a space under the built-in structure of the hall where exhibitions of different focuses will rotate.
The hall is inserted into the atrium of the historical building. The built-in structure does not touch the listed building and stands on six legs on point foundations (micropiles). The hall is equipped with the necessary audiovisual, scenic and acoustic technologies.
The telescopic stand is used for flexible use of space. The stand has two basic positions, depending on the need, it is possible to use an elevation with seats for comfortable viewing of classical music performances, or retracted, leaving a flat floor suitable for electroacoustic concerts or balls, for example.
The stage area is made up of 9 raised platforms, 3 front platforms are 5000 x 3655 mm and 6 rear platforms are 1500 x 3655 mm. In total, the platforms are able to create a stage with dimensions of 8020 x 10985 mm. The variable height of the raised platforms allows the creation of an elevation for a symphony orchestra, a stage for a choir or a flat area for a dance performance and as a system provides greater variability of layout and easier handling when creating a scene. The floor beneath the platforms is lowered locally so that at the lowest position of the platforms the floor level of the elevating platform is level with the surrounding floor.
